Rajiv Vasavada, M.D. — Internal Medicine

Dr. Vasavada earned his medical degree from B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad,India, followed by an internship at Grant Hospital in Chicago and a residency at Michael Reese Hospital and the University of Illinois, in Chicago. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been in practice since 1995.

Soon after his residency, he worked as a Primary Care Physician and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center for 3 years. He has been in private group practice since 1998.

I treat all my patients with dignity and respect. After my evaluation of the patients, I explain the medical conditions in simple terms, empowering them in the decision-making process. I believe in transparent and open communication with my patients regarding their medical conditions. With my knowledge, skill sets, and excellent patient care, I strive to cultivate long-standing, physician-patient relationships that are built on trust.

Dr. Vasavada is specialized in treating all adult medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiovascular conditions, asthma, emphysema, kidney diseases, etc. along with acute illnesses. He also focuses on preventative care and evidence-based medicine.

Fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, Dr. Vasavada enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities.
