Born in Rajkot, India, Dr. Dholakia has been in practice for 42 years. He attended Baroda Medical College, and after moving to the U.S., he performed his residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, where he earned the Best Resident Award in 1978. He was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1979.
Before joining Silver Cross, Dr. Dholakia was affiliated with several local hospitals and medical practices.
I have been in practice for the last 42 years, and I've been blessed to have the best group of physicians in all specialties. I believe that service and devotion to the people is a service to the supreme.
Fluent in the Hindi and Gujarati Indian languages, Dr. Dholakia is one of the founding members of the Indian Philosophical School (based in India), imparting the Indian culture with value-based teaching. The school teaches more than 500 students languages, mathematics, and music, and they sponsor social activities such as blood drives, soup kitchens, as well as support front-line workers and those quarantined during the pandemic.
Dr. Dholakia is an avid fan of cricket, having captained his school team representing his local area and all of India. He and his wife, whom he calls a “cultural genius,” also enjoy dance, dramas, and music.
Dr. Dholakia sees patients in our Orland Park and Frankfort offices.
